Day 01
Arrival Ruhengeri – 115kms
Arrive Kigali Airport. Met at the airport by PRIMATE SAFARIS representative. Briefing and introduction to your Safari-driver guide. Drive to Ruhengeri, the main base town for Gorilla tracking, about 2 hours drive from Kigali.
Overnight: Gorilla Mountain View Lodge LDB
Day 02:
Parc National Des Volcans – Mountain Gorillas – 115kms
After an early breakfast, report to the Gorillas office (2kms from the lodge) for registration and gorilla formalities. Then drive on the edge of Parc National des Volcans. Briefing by the park's guides on how the Gorillas etiquette. Thereafter enter the park for Gorilla tracking. Your trek will vary in length and will commence at about 2000 meters of altitude in the upper slopes of the Volcanoes. Soon you enter the forest. After locating your assigned group you will spend one hour in their company before retracing your steps down the volcanoes. Lunch at Muhabura hotel before proceeding back to Kigali.
Overnight: Novotel Umumbano or Hotel Des Mille Collines B
Day 03 Departure
Transfer to the airport for your outbound flight.
